Question And Answer about TSC: Interesting

The question from me to net was that, How open Defecation free state can be achieved in INDIA? NIRMAL BHARAT KA SAPNA KAISE SAKAR HO?
The answer received from Ajay Merchant :

See, I tend to disagree with you... In our country just creating awareness is not at all enough.

One needs to instil qualities of discipline and civic sense, yes educating children about civic sense and hygiene and sanitation subjects from an early age in schools itself is an excellent idea or proposal, but if their damn parents set poor examples do you expect their children not to blindly copy them ?

Why I recommend punishments or strict action to you as the only way out to control the present situation is because we have suffered after 60 years of Independence, because of these ignorant and lazy people, who do not want to ever learn or change, they're satisfied with their useless and worthless lives, why do you think we have such a large number of beggars in our cities and the population goes on increasing ten times every year...

Our governments (central and states) have allowed all these people to get away each and every time for any kind of offences and as a result these same people take our country for granted.
They do not want to listen when some one tries to correct them, they only want 'free' electricity, 'free' water, 'free' fertilisers, 'free' bank loans, 'free' tractors, 'free' telephones, 'free' tube wells/seeds, reservations for SC/ST status, etc.

You see, no one wants to work. No one wants to come up the hard way. Every one wants 'easy' money and success... Every one wants to be a MLA/MLC/MP/Minister, etc.

People in India are lazy, corrupt, indisciplined, careless, ignorant, insensitive and irresponsible towards their duty for the country's benefit and progress.

When a traffic constable stops us, for example, we are ready to give Rs.50/- to Rs.100/- very easily and get away with out trying to correct the problem either from our side or that constables side. We allow corruption because we are lazy and ignorant to stand up and fight it, so the next time the constable stops any one else, he's not going to try to correct you, he only wants his bakhish/bribe...

Who suffers in the end ??? India !!!

I am not saying we pick up guns and other weapons and try to cleanse the system with force (Rang De Basanti style), but we need to stand up and fight for our rights and we need to stop corruption immediately...

Sorry for going on and on, but my angst is not directed towards any particular political party (I hate politicians, they're nothing but liars and crooks), I am only sharing my disgust with the people of my country.

You are an educated person into politics at a young stage with lots of enthusiasm and have the authority to try to change the system from the grass roots level... I hope you are able to do so and try to create a much better India. Wish you all the very best in your endeavours and career.

The fight or struggle will never be easy, you will face total resentment and hardships because people will hate you and there will be lots of opposition and politicking for trying to change them... But, at the end of the day, life is in your hands. If you feel you can change the system, God will always be there for you no matter what.

If you like, I can share my inputs with you at a regular basis, can help you regularly with advise or morale support.... Provided you have the will power and determination, I can try to help you with whatever I can.

My vision is a better and brighter India... But, I am not in to politics or administration (IAS/Zila panchayat), so I cannot contribute directly.
